Course Description: Tactical Rifle Operator

 

We are offering our one-day Tactical Rifle Operator Course.  This course instructs students on the safe management of Tactical Rifle training for Tactical, Patrol Personnel, and Civilians. Students will shoot from 7-300 yards with the majority of the training taking place from 100 yards in.

The course will address the following major topics:

Safety

Basic Marksmanship (Shooter Development)

Surgical Shooting Techniques (Rifle/Pistol)

Target Discrimination

Weapon Zero

Standard and Non-Standard Shooting Positions

Shooting Plan Development

Proper position for distance

Target Selection

Weapon Care

Tactical Drills ( Two Man Team Combat Course )

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: None

EQUIPMENT NEEDED:

All normal tactical equipment including

Rifle ( AR/ AK Platform )

3 magazines and mag pouches

Eye and Ear Protection.

At least 400 Rounds for the rifle and 50 rounds pistol ( Round count can be adjusted depending on ammo availability).

Bring cold/hot weather gear as required.

ADVANCED TACTICAL RIFLE

 

This 1-day firearms training course focuses on tactical shooting concepts, development of aggressive gun-handling skills and dynamic action during tactical deployment of the rifle.

The concepts of dominating the weapon, threat, and all visual areas while moving will be emphasized throughout this firearms training class.

Students will develop reflexive gun-handling skills with the rifle that will enable them to quickly and efficiently engage threats while performing complex tasks.

Prerequisites: This course is self paced, however, Students should have safe and solid basic to intermediate gun-handling skills established prior to attending this firearms training course.

The following firearms training topics will be covered:

Firearms training safety rules review.

Rapid deployment methodology and concepts.
Mental conditioning and combat mindset.
Review fundamentals of shooting a rifle.
Transport mode, carry mode and press checking the rifle.
Review use of tactical sling systems.
Enhanced combat gun-handling skills.
Presentation from low ready, high ready, & SUL.
Refining presentation technique.
Balancing speed and accuracy.
Enhanced tactical speed shooting drills.
Moving off the line of force and lateral displacement drills.
Threat assessment and area scanning.
Engaging threats while advancing and withdrawing.
Engaging threats from static turns and pivots.
Shooting on the move vs. Moving and Shooting
Dominating the weapon, threat and visual areas.
Ammunition management and reloading techniques.
Transition to secondary weapon system.
Malfunction clearance drills.
Multiple threat engagement strategies.
Close Quarter Battle (CQB) techniques.
Engaging threats from support side from behind cover.
Dynamic position transition while engaging threats from various barricade windows.
Deployment from vehicles/ Counter Ambush Techniques
Man vs. man stress drill shoot-offs.
Scrambler course.
Off hand/ Injured shooter drills

Course student limit: 12

AMMO REQUIRMENTS: 400 Rifle / 100 PISTOL

Student requirements: Note pad and pen, eye protection, ear protection, baseball type cap, heavy pants belt or duty belt with holster and magazine carriers, personal defense pistol with at least 3 magazines, personal defense rifle with at least 4 magazines and tactical sling.

Course Description: Civilian Response to Active Shooter

2 Day Course

Course Fee:  $135

This course instructs students on the safe employment of a firearm during active shooter incidents in schools, offices or other venues where these crimes have occurred. The course will address the following major topics:

Case Histories Single CQB
Range Fire Medical
Barricade Work Link Up with
Police

Vehicle Deployment Scenarios

This course will focus on safely resolving active shooter problems wherever they are encountered to include a safe link up with law enforcement. Course material will be applicable to civilians, teachers and law enforcement.

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: Students need to have taken at least an intermediate level defensive handgun course to attend.

Concealment Bag or Holster
Pistol
300 Rds. Ammo
Eye and ear protection
Bring inclement weather gear as required.
Students will deploy weapon from concealed carry or Active Shooter bag during all scenarios and range fire.
